A la hora de elegir un destino turístico, la gastronomía representa una pieza clave en el proceso de ideación, decisión y preparación de un determinado viaje, hasta el punto de lograr inclinar la balanza hacia una u otra región. Y es que, aunque siempre se la ha tenido en cuenta, es en los últimos años cuando se ha convertido en un elemento imprescindible para atraer a un turista que demanda cada vez más, productos de calidad autóctonos, cocina tradicional de la zona, y conocimiento de la cultura y modo de vida del destino escogido. Pero además la gastronomía representa una oportunidad única para dinamizar y diversificar el turismo local, impulsar el desarrollo económico e implicar a distintos sectores y subsectores.
Sobre todas estas cuestiones, y muchas otras más, va a debatirse en el I Congreso Internacional de Turismo Gastronómico que se celebrará en Pamplona los días 22 y 23 de Febrero. Organizado por Gobierno de Navarra y Events & Holidays en el marco de la decimotercera Feria Navartur, cuenta con la colaboración de Reyno Gourmet, la Word Food Travel Association, Koan Consulting, el Ayuntamiento de Pamplona y la Asociación de Hostelería y Turismo de Navarra.El objetivo de este primer Encuentro es el de ofrecer un espacio único para el intercambio de experiencias, una oportunidad de relacionarse con los principales expertos en turismo gastronómico, y conocer de cerca las últimas tendencias y los casos de éxito a nivel internacional.
Navarra y su gastronomía tienen personalidad propia y ofrece un equilibrio perfecto entre tradición y nueva cocina, lo que junto a una extraordinaria materia prima le ha dado a Navarra un prestigio internacional. Mediante este evento se pretende además mostrar la enorme variedad y calidad de nuestros productos gastronómicos locales.
Los temas que van a tratarse en el Congreso son los siguientes:
- La situación actual y las últimas tendencias de la industria del turismo gastronómico.
- La perspectiva del destino (destinos urbanos y rurales).
- La perspectiva de los chefs.
- La perspectiva tecnológica.
